The bus service in Tenerife is generally clean, reliable and inexpensive. Tourists should have no reservations about using the services of TITSA and in fact, there is even a discount card which can be purchased from all stations and terminals of TITSA. The Bono-Bus card costs about €12 but saves up to 30% of the cost of transport as well as discounts for entry into Tenerife's museums.

On Tenerife most taxi drivers are honest and give good service, but watch out for some of them. They might take advantage of you, especially those that take you from the airport to your destination. Taxis are recognisable by a green light in the windscreen or on a white roof and an official plate with the letters SP (servicio público - public service).
